How to Reset to Default Settings

Time for the ole tried and true, return to factory defaults?
We got your back.

Remember that resetting to factory defaults with erase all customizations in place on the printer itself.

Make sure to choose the correct model when starting a reset!


SG500 and SG1000

  1. First, press the menu button on your printer to wake it up and then again to access all options
  2. Next, use the up and down arrows to find system settings and then press OK
  3. Now navigate to administrator tools then press OK
  4. Next find Reset All Settings then press OK
  5. After that, there will be another option to select Reset All Settings again. Go ahead and highlight that option then press OK

That's it! You should be back to factory defaults and ready to move forward.


SG400 and SG800

  1. With the printer powered on, press and hold the up arrow for 3 seconds. While holding the up arrow, also press and hold the down arrow for 5 seconds. 
  2. Release the arrow buttons and press #Enter (if nothing happens, try again)
  3. When successful the LCD will display SYSTEMver
  4. Press the down arrow once to Engine Maint. and press #Enter
  5. Using the Up & Down arrows, and pressing #Enter after each number, enter 5831001
  6. Press #
  7. SET INIT VALUE, Press #  
  8. Hit #enter until prompted ok ?
  9. Hit escape until back to Engine Maint.
  10. Down arrow to End Press #enter
