Before You Begin
Substrate: 100% cotton shirt
Heat Press Settings:
Temperature: 375 °F (190 °C)
Time: 30 seconds per side
Pressure: Medium
Step 1: Print the Design
Open your design in Sawgrass Print Utility.
Select Cotton as the product type.
Choose the correct paper size (e.g., Letter).
Send the job to your VersiFlex printer.
⚠️ Important: VersiFlex prints with wet ink. Print only one page at a time. Printing multiple pages together may cause ink smearing.
Step 2: Prepare the Shirt
Place the shirt on the press.
Pre-press for a few seconds to remove any excess moisture.
Position the printed transfer face down on the shirt.
Cover with blowout paper to protect your heat press.
Step 3: Press the First Side
Press at 375 °F for 30 seconds with medium pressure.
Perform an immediate hot peel: quickly and firmly peel away the transfer paper to reveal the design.
Step 4: Press the Second Side
Flip the shirt and position the second transfer design.
Place blowout paper on both sides of the shirt to protect your heat press from ink stains.
Press again at 375 °F for 30 seconds with medium pressure.
Perform another immediate hot peel.
Step 5: Finished Result
Your dual-sided cotton shirt is now complete. The design is vibrant, durable, and machine washable.
✅ Quick Tip: Always use fresh blowout paper for each press to avoid ghosting or ink transfer.
