VersiFlex Ink
VersiFlex inks meet several important chemical safety requirements, including:
REACH (SVHC-listed substances)
RoHS (restriction of hazardous substances)
OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT
Certain materials are also tested against portions of EN 71-3 and ASTM F963-17 toy safety standards for substances such as lead and phthalates.
However, VersiFlex inks are not specifically certified for babywear and have not been tested for food contact or ingestion scenarios.
VersiFlex Light Media Transfer Paper
The VersiFlex Light Media transfer paper has achieved OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 – Product Class 1 certification (Annex 4), excluding color fastness testing.
Product Class 1 is the most stringent OEKO-TEX category and is designed for products intended for babies and toddlers, meaning the material meets strict exposure limits for skin or oral contact.
In Summary
Because Sawgrass does not control the fabric, garments or production environment used by customers, we cannot certify that finished products created with VersiFlex are baby-safe.
Customers wishing to produce babywear should pursue testing and certification of the finished product through the appropriate certification bodies.
