Printing on A3+ or 13 × 19-inch paper requires the bypass tray to be set up correctly and the appropriate paper size to be selected in Sawgrass Print Utility.
The steps below will guide you through checking the bypass tray, loading the paper, and selecting the correct print settings.
- Make sure the bypass tray is not touching the wall
- Place 10 to 15 sheets of paper in the printer
- Check beneath the bypass tray for a white plastic detachable strip that helps to hold up the bypass tray. If you do not see this part attached, please check the box the printer box.
The second is printing through Sawgrass Print Utility Program:
- Create a new print job. You can do this from either MySawgrass design tool, file > print from your graphic software, Quick Print Folder or by simply clicking Create as shown below.
- Be sure to select the Bypass Tray under Media Source.
- Choose Page size A3+
Note: If you create a custom 13 × 19-inch paper size instead of using the existing A3+ media size, set the dimensions to 12.99 × 19 inches. Entering the width as the full 13 inches may trigger an unsupported page-size error.
Troubleshooting: Printing from the Main Tray Instead of the Bypass Tray
If the print job is sent from the main tray instead of the bypass tray, first confirm that the bypass tray is correctly detected in the printer menu.
You should also check the printer properties in the print driver and make sure the bypass tray is enabled or selected there.
