This article explains how to set up and use Virtual Printers in Sawgrass Print Utility.
Virtual Printers allow you to save specific print settings for one or more compatible printers. This is useful when working with multiple devices or when you regularly use different products, media sizes, print qualities, or job settings.
When Sawgrass Print Utility is installed, the Send to Sawgrass Print Utility virtual driver is installed automatically and appears as a printer on your computer. This allows you to print directly from other software, such as CorelDRAW or Adobe Photoshop, by selecting Send to Sawgrass Print Utility from the list of available printers. The print job is then sent to Sawgrass Print Utility, where you can review and apply the required print settings before printing.
If you have multiple printers of the same model using the same ink type, you can also select more than one printer within the Virtual Printer settings. Sawgrass Print Utility can then distribute print jobs across the selected printers, helping to balance the workload between devices.
- First, start by selecting Settings.
- Next, Select Send to Sawgrass Print Utility.
- You will now be able to select the Printer or Printers you wish to set specific Print Settings to. Note that you will only be able to select multiple printers of the same Model and ink type.
- From here, you can now set options such as the Product, Print Quality, Media Size, Type and Source as well the Job Settings (Auto Print, Mirror etc)
It is important to note that you can choose to use the paper size set in the originating application or printer driver. When Use Paper Size from Originating Application is enabled, Sawgrass Print Utility will automatically use that paper size when the print job is received.
- Once you are happy with your chosen settings, click Save Changes.
