Enrolling in the Sawgrass Print Utility Public Beta
The Sawgrass Print Utility Public Beta gives you early access to upcoming features, improvements, and bug fixes before they are released to the general public.
When you join the Public Beta, you will be moved to the latest Beta version if one is currently available. If no Beta version is available, Sawgrass Print Utility will remain on the Public Release until a new Beta becomes available, at which point you will be prompted to install it.
When a new Public Release becomes available, Beta users will move onto that Public Release because the Beta and Public versions will be the same. When the next Beta version is released, enrolled users will once again be moved to the new Beta version.
You can return to the Public Release at any time.
Its important to note that Public Beta releases may contain features or fixes that are still being tested and may behave differently from the Public Release.
Joining the Public Beta
- Open Sawgrass Print Utility, then go to Settings.
- Under General, select Public Beta.
Enable Public Beta using the toggle.
The window will display your current release and the release selected for the Public Beta.
A confirmation window will appear explaining that Public Beta versions may introduce unexpected behaviour.
Review the information, then enable the option confirming that Sawgrass may contact you about your Public Beta experience.
Select Join Public Beta.Note: On Windows, you may be prompted to provide administrator approval to confirm the change.
- Sawgrass Print Utility will download the latest compatible Public Beta release.
- Once the download reaches 100%, select Restart and install.
- Sawgrass Print Utility will restart and install the Public Beta release.
Once installation is complete, you will be enrolled in the Public Beta and will receive compatible Beta updates ahead of the general Public Release.
Providing Feedback
Feedback from Public Beta users is always encouraged. Sharing your experience helps us identify potential issues earlier, understand how new features perform in real-world workflows, and make further improvements to Sawgrass Print Utility before wider release.
Your feedback plays an important role in helping us improve the software and deliver a more reliable experience for all users.
To provide feedback, select Feedback from the menu on the left.
Choose whether you would like to Share Feedback or Report a Bug.
- Share Feedback can be used to submit ideas, reactions, or suggestions for improvement.
- Report a Bug should be used when a feature or function is not working as expected.
You can also include any relevant screenshots using the Attachments option.
Once you have completed the form, select Send. Your feedback will then be submitted directly to our Product Development team for review.
Returning to the Public Release
You can leave the Public Beta and return to the latest Public Release at any time.
- Open Sawgrass Print Utility, then go to Settings
- Under General, click Public Beta.
- Disable Public Beta using the toggle
- Sawgrass Print Utility will then switch back to the latest available Public Release.
- Allow the Public version to download, then select Restart and install to complete the change.
Once you return to the Public Release, you will no longer receive Public Beta updates. You will remain on the Public Release channel and will only be prompted to update when the next Public Release becomes available.
Your existing Sawgrass Print Utility data will be protected when switching between the Beta and Public Release.
