Using The High-Resolution Preview in Sawgrass Print Utility

Sawgrass Print Utility now includes a High-Resolution Preview option designed to improve preview accuracy and clarity. This feature is especially helpful when reviewing fine design details before printing.

If your print preview appears blurry, pixelated or out of focus, most noticeably when zooming above 100%, enabling High-Resolution Preview will sharpen the image and provide a more accurate representation of the final output.

What High-Resolution Preview Does

When enabled, High-Resolution Preview generates a more detailed preview of your print job. This results in:

  • Sharper image quality when zoomed in
  • Improved visibility of fine details and edges
  • A more accurate on-screen representation of the final print

When to Use High-Resolution Preview

High-Resolution Preview is useful when you want to:

  • Zoom in to inspect small design elements
  • Check text clarity, image sharpness, or alignment
  • Verify overall design quality before printing

This feature is particularly beneficial when working with vector files. Without High-Resolution Preview enabled, some vector edges or fine details may not be fully visible. Enabling this option ensures:

  • Cleaner, more defined vector edges
  • Greater confidence when reviewing professional or production-ready designs

Important Considerations

  • Leaving High-Resolution Preview enabled will increase preview generation time when loading a print job.
  • For faster workflow, you may wish to enable this feature only when detailed inspection is required.
