Printer Displays “Ready” Despite Empty Black or Yellow Cartridge

We have identified and are actively working on resolving an issue where the printer may incorrectly show a "Ready" status on the LCD panel even when the Black or Yellow ink cartridge is empty. This can prevent printing from taking place.

Issue Details

  • Affected channels: Black and Yellow

  • Symptoms (as shown below):

    • Printer LCD shows “Ready” status.

    • Printing is not possible.
    • If you send a job to print, it will not physically print, despite the LCD displaying the print job information and blue Data light flashing.
    • Ink indicators display a downward arrow for the affected cartridges.
    • Red and yellow alert icons are also visible.

Resolution

  • Power the printer off/on and visually check the ink status indicators on the LCD display.

  • If either the Black or Yellow ink channels show a downward arrow, this indicates the cartridge is empty.

  • Replace the affected ink cartridge(s) even if the panel still reads “Ready.”

  • After replacement, the printer will resume normal operation.

Important Note

Printing will not resume until the empty cartridge is replaced, regardless of the “Ready” status displayed on the LCD.
