Using the Custom Canvas Feature

The Custom Canvas feature allows you to create a design workspace with custom dimensions and shapes, giving you the flexibility to create artwork for products and applications that may not be included in the standard product catalog. You can define your own canvas size, select the preferred unit of measurement, specify a bleed area, and choose from a variety of canvas shapes.

For even greater customization, MySawgrass also supports the use of custom, single path, SVG shapes. This allows you to create uniquely shaped design areas tailored to your specific project requirements.

  1. Lets start by selecting the Custom Canvas option.

  2. Next Select the desired Units of Measure.

  3. Then, enter the required dimensions, Width and Height, in the previous selected units of measure.

  4. Now, the bleed area. We recommend 0.125"

  5. And finally, the shape of the Canvas

  6. You can also upload your own shape as an SVG file. It is however important to note that Custom Canvas only support single path SVG files. If you do not, the error message "Multiple path in SVG file are not supported".

  7. Once you're happy with your Canvas settings , hit Design your Canvas and it will then load.
