How-To: Changing the Connection Method (WiFi/USB/Ethernet)

Are you wanting to change how your printer is connected? This is the article for you!

There are 6 different switches that you can make when it comes to connection type:

USB to Ethernet

  1.  First of all, you want to go ahead and disconnect the USB cable from your printer.
  2.  Then, connect your ethernet cable from your internet router to the ethernet port located on the  side of your Sawgrass printer.
  3.  Next, you will need to set the LAN type to Ethernet.
  4.  Once programmed to this setting, power your printer off then back on.
  5.  After your printer is powered back on, it should now have an assigned valid IP address.
  6.  As the currently installed driver is still set up using USB, the easiest way to set it up for ethernet is remove then reinstall the printer driver on the correct port. (MacOS/Windows)
  7.  Or you can manually set the port in the printer properties of the driver.

Ethernet to USB

  1. First, go ahead and disconnect the ethernet cable from your Sawgrass printer.
