Knowing exactly which model you have is important for compatibility with power standards, software installation and printer functions.
1. Check the Printer Name Plate Located at the Rear of the Printer
The easiest and most reliable way to tell which model you have is to look at the label on the back of your printer.
Look for the model number printed at the top of the name plate. It will look like:
- SG500NA
- SG500EU
- SG500EUX
- SG1000NA
- SG1000EU
- SG1000EUX

2. Why is it important?
Identifying the exact printer model is important during the installation process. When installing Sawgrass Print Utility, you will be requested to select the exact printer model you wish to setup, such as EU, EUX or NA.
Important: If the incorrect model is selected, the installation will not be successful as it will not detect the printer.
3. EU vs EUX vs NA: What's the Difference?
Both the EU and EUX are for European or international use, and NA is for the North American market:
EU | EUX | NA | |
---|---|---|---|
Power | 220/240V | 220/240V | 120-127V |
Main Tray | Not Extendable | Not Extendable | Extendable |
Connectivity | USB, LAN, WLAN | USB, LAN | USB, LAN, WLAN |
The EUX printer model has replaced the EU model in order to comply with the latest EU regulations.
