How-To: Reset the Printer to Default Settings (SG400/800 & SG500/1000)

The below article will show you how to Reset your printer back to default and will erase all saved settings on it.

 

SG500 & 1000

  1. Press the [Menu] button.

  2. Press the Up or Down arrow button to display [System Settings], and then press the [OK] button.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow button to display [Admin. Tools], and then press the [OK] button.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow button to display [Reset All Settings], and then press the [OK] button.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow button to select [Reset All Settings] again, and then press the [OK] button.
    Note: If you wish to only Reset the Network Settings, select [Reset Network Settings] instead.

 

SG400 & 800

 

  1. With the printer powered on, press and hold the up arrow for 3 seconds. While holding the up arrow, also press and hold the down arrow for 7 seconds. 

  2. Release the arrow buttons and press #Enter (if nothing happens, try again)

  3. When successful the LCD will display SYSTEMver.

  4. Press the #Enter button once on Service Menu. 

  5. Press the down button until Reset Settings is selected, then press #Enter.

  6. Press #Enter again on Initialize Sys.

  7. Press #Enter again to Start.

  8. When Init. completed is displayed press Escape to return to SYSTEMver menu.

  9. Press the up button and Press #Enter on End to Exit the service mode.

  10. Ready should now be displayed on the screen.
